BOOKING YOUR COURSE

So, you're ready to take the leap and embark on an Outward Bound course? Ka pai! To book your spot on a course, simply click 'Book' beside the desired date on the course page. You'll be taken to the My Outward Bound portal to create an account and fill out some details.

Health and safety is paramount at Outward Bound, so please note that confirmation of enrolment is subject to approval from our medical screening team (read our Participation Guidelines). Please do not book your travel until your placement on an Outward Bound course has been confirmed.

CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT

Once your medical has been approved by our nurse, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

If you’re responsible for settling the full course fee, you’ll need to pay your balance at least 8 weeks before your course start date. Find out more in our Terms & Conditions. Payments can be made via the OB Portal.

Ways to Pay

Pay via credit card by logging into your account. Your account is created after you've booked online and activated it by email confirmation. Alternatively, you can call us on 0800 688 927 and we can process payments over the phone.

Please note that due to our bank's policy we are unable to accept cheques as a form of payment.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

Please read the additional criteria for international participants below:

  • Outward Bound requires full disclosure of all medical and criminal history. Confirmation of your enrolment is subject to approval from the Outward Bound NZ medical screening team. Read our Participation Guidelines here

  • As with many other New Zealand educational institutions, international participants are charged an additional fee for courses. As a non-profit organisation, we source funding to reduce our course fees for New Zealand citizens and residents. Unfortunately international participants are not eligible for this funding. An additional charge of $1000NZD for 21-day courses and $500NZD for 8-day courses applies to all non-New Zealand Citizens/Residents.

  • To safely participate in our courses you need to have a good understanding of English. Our instructors are all English speakers, and are not able to translate information into different languages.
